Cyprus Weather Update: Weak High Pressure Brings Partly Cloudy Skies and Light Showers

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, effective for the period from 1800 on December 3, 2025, until 1800 on December 4, 2025. The region is expected to experience weak high-pressure conditions, resulting in partly cloudy weather and a possibility of isolated light showers.

According to Cyprus News Agency, atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1018 hPa. Visibility across the sea area is expected to be good, with a sea surface temperature of 23°C. The Department has not issued any warnings for this period.

For the west coast, winds will be blowing from the northeast to east at Beaufort scale 3 during the night and morning, shifting to southeast 3 to 4, occasionally northwest, by the afternoon. The sea state is predicted to be smooth to slight throughout.

On the south coast, night-time winds will range from north to northeast at 3 to 4, occasionally reaching 4, with the sea remaining smooth to slight. The morning will see northeast winds at 4, sometimes locally reaching 4 to 5, with a similar sea state. By afternoon, winds are expected to be northeast to east at 4, occasionally 4 to 5, with the sea becoming slight.

The east coast will experience northeast winds at 3 to 4, occasionally reaching 4 during the night, with slight sea conditions. Morning winds will increase to northeast 4, occasionally reaching 4 to 5, with a slight to moderate sea state. In the afternoon, winds will be northeast to east at 4, sometimes reaching 4 to 5, maintaining a slight to moderate sea state.

The north coast will have northeast to east winds at 3 to 4, occasionally reaching 4 at night, with slight sea conditions. By morning, winds will increase to northeast to east 4, occasionally 4 to 5, with a slight to moderate sea state. In the afternoon, winds will continue from the northeast to east at 4, locally reaching 5, with the sea remaining slight to moderate locally.
