Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, covering eight kilometers seawards. The forecast applies for the period from 1200 on May 17, 2025, until 1200 on May 18, 2025.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the area is currently experiencing weak high pressure, leading to increased cloud coverage at times due to medium and high clouds. Additionally, there is dust in suspension affecting the region. Despite these conditions, visibility remains good, and no warnings have been issued.
The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast was recorded at 1013 hPa, with sea surface temperatures noted at 21°C. The forecast indicates that winds in the region are being measured on the Beaufort scale, with all times mentioned being local.
