Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus covering a distance of 8 kilometers seawards. The weather is expected to remain mainly fine from the evening of May 20, 2025, to the evening of May 21, 2025. However, local mist and fog, accompanied by increased low cloud coverage, might occur later tonight and during dawn, especially over the eastern and southeastern coastal areas.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1012 hectopascals. The influence of weak high pressure is noted in the region. Visibility is generally good but could become moderate to poor in areas affected by mist. The sea surface temperature is currently 22°C, and no warnings have been issued for the forecast period.
