Cyprus Weather Forecast Predicts Smooth Sailing Conditions for Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a detailed forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, covering a period from 1800 on November 18, 2025, until 1800 on November 19, 2025. The forecast indicates that the weather will be mainly fine, with high atmospheric pressure impacting the area and good visibility expected throughout the forecast period. The sea surface temperature is noted to be 23°C, and no warnings have been issued for this period.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the winds across the various coasts of Cyprus are expected to maintain a range based on the Beaufort scale. On the West Coast, the night will see northeast to east winds at force 3, occasionally reaching 3 to 4, with the sea state ranging from smooth to slight. As the morning progresses, winds will vary at force 3, locally shifting from northeast to southeast at 3 to 4, and the afternoon will see southwest to northwest winds at force 3, locally shifting to northeast to southeast at 4. The sea state on the West Coast is predicted to remain smooth to slight, locally slight.

On the South Coast, night-time winds will blow from north to northeast at forces 3 to 4, reaching 4 to 5 offshore, with the sea state described as slight. The morning will continue with northeast to east winds, maintaining an offshore force of 4 to 5, while the afternoon will experience northeast to east winds at forces 4, locally 4 to 5, with the sea state remaining slight.

The East Coast is expected to have northeast winds at force 4 during the night, occasionally reaching 4 to 5 offshore, with a slight sea state. The morning will see northeast winds at force 4, gradually reaching locally 4 to 5, with the sea state gradually ranging from slight to moderate. By the afternoon, the conditions will remain with northeast winds at force 4, locally reaching 4 to 5, and the sea state will be slight, locally slight to moderate.

Finally, the North Coast is forecast to experience northeast to southeast winds at force 3 to 4 at night, with a slight sea state. The morning will see northeast to east winds at forces 3 to 4, with offshore winds reaching force 4, maintaining a slight sea state. In the afternoon, northeast to east winds will persist at force 4, with offshore winds reaching 4 to 5, and the sea state will remain slight.
