Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that weak low pressure is currently affecting the region. Throughout the day, there will be increased medium cloud coverage with a possibility of light isolated showers. These conditions are expected to evolve as the day progresses, with locally increased low clouds appearing in the afternoon and a risk of isolated showers during the night, particularly over the western and northern coasts.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast further suggests that during the late night and early morning hours, there is a possibility of local mist and fog patches, especially over the eastern and southeastern coastal areas. Visibility is expected to remain good, although it may become moderate during showers. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 24°C, and there are no warnings currently in place for the area. Low concentrations of dust are also in suspension, which may affect some regions.
