Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, covering a period from 0600 on May 21, 2025, until 0600 on May 22, 2025. The forecast pertains to the sea area extending 8 kilometers seawards from the coast.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the region is currently experiencing weak high pressure. As a result, the weather is expected to remain mainly fine throughout the forecast period. However, there is a likelihood of local mist forming during dawn, accompanied by increased low cloud coverage, particularly over the eastern and southeastern coastal areas.
Visibility in the area is generally good but may reduce to moderate or poor in areas affected by mist. The sea surface temperature has been recorded at 22°C, indicating mild conditions for marine activities.
No warnings have been issued for the area, suggesting that the weather conditions are stable and not expected to pose any significant threats. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast’s issuance was registered at 1013 hPa.
