Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that the upcoming period will predominantly feature fine weather conditions. The forecast, which covers an 8-kilometer stretch seawards, highlights a seasonal low-pressure system influencing the region.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the weather will generally be fine, although there will be instances of increased low cloud coverage in certain locales. The forecast also cautions about the formation of local mist and the potential for fog patches during nighttime and early morning hours, particularly in the southern and eastern parts of the region.
Visibility is expected to be generally good but may drop to moderate or poor levels in areas experiencing mist, and could become very poor in the presence of fog. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 27°C, indicating warm maritime conditions.
The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was noted to be 1006 hPa. Despite the presence of low pressure, there are no warnings currently in effect for the area.
