Cyprus Weather Forecast: Cloudy Skies and Local Showers Anticipated

Larnaca: Weak low pressure is affecting the sea area of Cyprus, leading to changes in weather patterns. The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast that indicates mainly cloudy conditions at times, with medium and high cloud coverage. There is a risk of local light showers later tonight. Tomorrow, the forecast suggests local showers with a potential for isolated thunderstorms, particularly over the western, northern, and southwestern parts of the area. Dust suspension is also expected.

According to Cyprus News Agency, visibility in the affected areas will be moderate, with localized poor visibility conditions. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 18°C. No warnings have been issued for the period.

The wind patterns and sea conditions will vary across different coasts. On the west coast, the night will see winds from east to southeast at 3 to 4, shifting to west to northwest at 4, with a slight state of sea. In the morning, winds will be southwest to northwest at 4, and occasionally 3 to 4, with sea conditions remaining slight, occasionally shifting to slight to moderate. The afternoon will experience southwest to west winds at 4 to 5, occasionally locally southwest at 5, with slight to moderate sea conditions.

The south coast will experience northwest to northeast winds at 3 during the night, later shifting to southwest to northwest at 3 to 4, with smooth to slight sea conditions. Morning winds will be southwest to northwest at 3 to 4, later shifting to southwest at 4 to 5, with sea conditions transitioning from smooth to slight. In the afternoon, southwest winds will reach 4 to 5, locally 5 to 6, with slight to moderate sea conditions, locally slight.

On the east coast, the night will bring northeast to east winds at 3 to 4, gradually becoming variable at 3, with sea conditions moving from slight to smooth to slight. Morning winds will be southwest to northwest at 3 to 4, later shifting to southwest at 4, with sea conditions becoming slight. The afternoon will see southwest winds at 5 to 6, with slight, locally slight to moderate sea conditions.

The north coast will have variable winds at 3 during the night, later shifting to southwest to northwest at 3 to 4, with slight sea conditions. Morning winds will be southwest to west at 3 to 4, gradually increasing to 4, with sea conditions changing from slight to slight to moderate. The afternoon will bring south to southwest winds at 4 to 5, occasionally locally at 5, with slight to moderate sea conditions.
