The temperature on these days will reach around 38 degrees Celsius, as confirmed by Cymet officer Panayiotis Lingis to the Cyprus News Agency.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Lingis mentioned that Sunday “is not an easy day” due to the high temperatures, although there are weak to moderate winds. He further stated that from Tuesday until Thursday, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, reaching around 30 to 31 degrees Celsius.

Current temperatures are recorded at 38 degrees inland, 29 on the west coast, approximately 31 on other coastal areas, and 28 degrees in higher mountainous regions. Cymet also noted the presence of dust in the atmosphere.

The Fire Service spokesman, Andreas Kettis, highlighted the extremely high risk of fires in these weather conditions. In a post on X, Kettis urged citizens to remain vigilant and to promptly contact the authorities at 112 or 1407 if they detect any fires.
