Nicosia:Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos held a meeting on Tuesday with Henrik Cederin, the newly appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Cyprus, to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Kombos shared on social media platform X that the discussions focused on strengthening the ties between Cyprus and Sweden. The meeting also covered important European Union and regional issues.

Additionally, Kombos highlighted the significance of the upcoming centenary of the Swedish Archaeological Expedition to Cyprus in 2027. He emphasized that this milestone presents a "unique opportunity to celebrate our shared cultural heritage and the enduring bonds between our peoples."
