Nicosia: The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) reported a decline in several of its major indices at the conclusion of today’s stock exchange meeting. The meeting, which took place on November 19, 2024, saw a significant movement in the market, with the FTSE/CySE 20, Main Market Index, and the CSE General Index all closing lower.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the FTSE/CySE 20 Index closed at 122.900, reflecting a decrease of 1.070% with a traded value of 1,359,619.26 euros. Similarly, the Main Market Index fell by 1.370% to 170.210, with a traded value amounting to 1,253,387.08 euros. The CSE General Index also experienced a decline, closing at 201.840, down by 1.060%, matching the traded value of the FTSE/CySE 20.
The Investment Companies Market Index showed the most significant drop, with a reduction of 2.650%, closing at 3,172.920 and a traded value of 59,554.65 euros. In contrast, the Hotels Index remained stable with no change at 933.490, and the Alternative Market Index saw a slight increase of 0.110%, c
losing at 1,252.510 with a traded value of 113,530.83 euros.
The total traded value for the session was reported to be 1,415,600.69 euros, indicating active participation across various market segments. The indices used for the base values included FTSEMed=5000, OTH, which serve as benchmarks for market performance.
