Cyprus Stock Exchange Records Positive Index Movements with Notable Gains in Investment Companies

Nicosia: The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) concluded its latest trading session with various indices recording positive movements, reflecting a generally favorable market trend. The CSE All Share Index closed with significant activity across different market segments.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the FTSE/CySE 20 index, a key indicator of the market's performance, closed at 172.890, marking a 1.410% increase. The main market index also showed positive momentum, finishing at 229.800 with a 1.320% rise, while the traded value for the day reached 432,046.33 euros.

The CSE General Index, another critical measure, recorded a 1.420% increase, closing at 285.040. Notably, the Investment Companies Market Index saw the highest percentage change, rising by 1.860% to close at 3,126.750, with a corresponding traded value of 77,587.720 euros.

However, not all segments experienced growth. The Hotels Index decreased by 0.970%, closing at 2,174.900 with a traded value of 2,606.000 euros. Meanwhile, the Alternative Market Index showed modest growth, ending the session at 1,904.570 with a 0.270% increase and a traded value of 31,576.590 euros.

Overall, the trading session highlighted strong performances in most sectors, particularly for investment companies, as reflected in the positive movements of the indices.
