Cyprus Showcases Economic Opportunities at European SME Congress in Poland

Katowice: The Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry of Cyprus, in partnership with the Trade Center of the Republic of Cyprus in Warsaw, marked its second consecutive year of participation at the European SME Congress. The event, recognized as Europe’s largest gathering for small and medium-sized enterprises, took place in Katowice, Poland, from October 27 to 28, 2025.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the European SME Congress celebrated its 15th edition, drawing a significant turnout of businesses along with a range of speakers and delegates from policy-making institutions. Attendees included executives from major multinational corporations, members of parliament, mayors, senior government officials, and prominent figures from institutional and economic organizations both from Poland and internationally.

The Cypriot information stand was a focal point for numerous visitors eager to learn about the burgeoning sectors within Cyprus’ economy. The stand highlighted the country’s competitive advantages as a prime location for investment and business partnerships, with notable interest in the areas of information technology, technology, and professional services.

The Cypriot involvement in the congress is a component of a broader strategy to market the nation as a global business hub. This initiative is actively pursued by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, as affirmed in the official announcement.
