Cyprus Services and Transport Turnover Increases in Q1 2025, Driven by Tourism and Support Services

Nicosia: The Turnover Value Index of Services and Transport sectors in Cyprus saw an increase during the first quarter of 2025, showing growth in key economic areas, according to figures released by the Cyprus Statistical Service.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the most significant growth was seen in administrative and support service activities, which went up by 10.6% compared to the same period in 2024. Accommodation and food service activities also showed a strong performance with a 9.4% increase, highlighting the robust state of tourism-related sectors.

Transport and storage activities experienced a 6.7% rise, while Information and Communication Technologies grew by 5.4%. Additionally, real estate activities saw a year-on-year growth of 3.2%.

In contrast, professional, scientific, and technical activities saw a slight decline of 0.1%, marking the only sector to decrease during the quarter.
