Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating a weak low-pressure system influencing local weather conditions. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and is valid from 1800 on May 12, 2025, until 1800 on May 13, 2025.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the region will experience mainly fine weather tonight and tomorrow morning, with occasional increases in cloud coverage. By tomorrow evening, isolated showers are anticipated over the eastern parts of the area, accompanied by a risk of isolated thunderstorms. Additionally, thin dust will be suspended in the atmosphere, potentially affecting air quality.
Visibility is expected to be generally good, although it may be locally moderate at times. The sea surface temperature is currently 21°C, and there are no warnings issued for the forecast period. Atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1002 hPa.
