Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its latest forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus for the period from 1200 on October 20, 2025, until 1200 on October 21, 2025. The forecast indicates that a weak low-pressure system is influencing the region, resulting in mainly fine weather with occasional increased cloudiness.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast was recorded at 1014 hPa. The forecast suggests that visibility in the area will remain good, and the sea surface temperature is expected to be around 26°C. No warnings have been issued for the forecast period.

On the west coast, afternoon winds are expected to be from the west to northwest, ranging from 4 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, occasionally reaching locally 5, with the state of the sea being slight to moderate. Overnight, winds will shift to northwest at 3 to 4, with conditions remaining slight. In the morning, variable winds of force 3 are anticipated, resulting in smooth to slight seas.
For the south coast, afternoon winds will be from the southwest to west at 4 to 5, sometimes locally reaching 5 to 6, bringing slight to moderate sea conditions. At night, winds will change to west to northwest at 3 to 4, with slight sea conditions, and in the morning, will be west to northwest at 3, sometimes locally 3 to 4, with slight sea conditions.
On the east coast, afternoon winds from the southwest to west are expected at force 4, occasionally reaching locally 4 to 5, with slight sea conditions. Overnight, winds will be west to northwest at 3, sometimes locally 3 to 4, resulting in slight to moderate sea conditions, while in the morning, they will be west to northwest at 3, leading to smooth to slight seas.
The north coast will experience southwest to west winds at 4 to 5 in the afternoon, sometimes offshore reaching 5, with slight to moderate sea conditions. At night, southwest to west winds at 3, offshore 3 to 4, will maintain slight sea conditions. In the morning, southwest winds at force 3 will lead to smooth to slight seas.
