Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released the weather forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus for the period from 0600 on 8th November 2025 until 0600 on 9th November 2025. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and indicates that a weak low-pressure system is affecting the region, resulting in mainly fine weather.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of issue was recorded at 1018 hectopascals. Visibility is expected to remain good, with a sea surface temperature of 24°C. No warnings have been issued for the forecast period.
The forecast details the wind conditions and state of the sea across various coasts of Cyprus. On the West Coast, morning winds are expected to shift from northeast to southeast at a Beaufort scale of 3, gradually changing to southeast to southwest. Afternoon winds will transition from southwest to northwest at force 3, increasing slightly to force 3 to 4, while night winds will be from north to northeast at for
ce 3. The state of the sea is predicted to be smooth to slight throughout.
For the South Coast, morning winds will range from northwest to northeast at force 3, shifting gradually to southeast to southwest. In the afternoon, winds will turn from southeast to southwest at force 3, becoming southwest to west at force 3 to 4. By night, winds will settle from northwest to north at force 3. The sea will remain smooth to slight.
On the East Coast, morning winds will move from northwest to northeast at force 3, gradually turning southeast to south. Afternoon winds will shift from east to southeast at force 3, later changing to south to southwest. Nighttime winds will be from west to northwest at force 3, with the sea remaining smooth to slight.
The North Coast will experience morning winds from southeast to southwest at force 3, transitioning to northwest to north. Afternoon winds will blow from northwest to north at force 3, with variable conditions near the coast. Night winds will be from southeast to southwest
at force 3, maintaining a smooth to slight sea state throughout.
