Cyprus Sea Area Forecast Highlights Unstable Air Mass Conditions

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast covering the sea area around Cyprus, emphasizing the effects of a weak low-pressure system and a relatively unstable air mass impacting the region. This forecast is valid for the period from 1200 on June 15, 2025, until 1200 on June 16, 2025, and applies to the area extending 8 kilometers seawards.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1008 hPa (hectopascal). The weather is expected to be mainly fine, although local increases in low cloud cover are anticipated tonight and during the morning. This could lead to the formation of local mist and fog, affecting visibility.

Visibility is generally expected to be good; however, it may become moderate to poor in areas of mist and very poor where fog develops. The sea surface temperature in the area is reported to be 23°C. No warnings have been issued for this period.
