Cyprus Records High Temperatures as Summer Peaks

Nicosia: The island of Cyprus is experiencing high temperatures today, as reported by the Department of Meteorology. The data shows significant heat across various locations, with Nicosia (Athalassa) recording the highest temperature at 39 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature was observed in Prodromos at 19 degrees Celsius.

According to Cyprus News Agency, humidity levels also varied across the region, impacting the overall weather conditions. At 1200 UTC, Larnaka Airport reported a humidity level of 55%, Limassol (New Port) had 53%, and Pafos Airport recorded a higher humidity level of 64%. Other areas such as Frenaros and Prodromos experienced lower humidity at 35%.

The data from Polis Pafos indicated a temperature of 36 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 42%, while Frenaros faced temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees Celsius. These temperatures highlight the ongoing summer heat affecting Cyprus, with residents and visitors advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions against the heat.
