Cyprus Meteorology Department: Calm Seas Expected Around Cyprus Through November 2

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, covering an 8-kilometer seaward range. For the period from 0600 on November 1, 2025, until 0600 on November 2, 2025, the region is experiencing weak high pressure, resulting in mainly fine weather conditions.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure recorded at the time of the forecast was 1017 hPa. Visibility is expected to remain good, and the sea surface temperature is 24°C. Currently, no warnings have been issued for the area.

The forecast details for various coasts are as follows:

– West Coast: In the morning, winds will be from the northeast to southeast at Beaufort scale 3, resulting in smooth to slight sea conditions. In the afternoon, winds will shift to southwest to northwest, occasionally reaching west to northwest at Beaufort scale 4, maintaining a smooth to slight sea state, with some areas experiencing slightly rougher conditions. At night, winds will revert to northwest to northeast at Beaufort scale 3, with smooth to slight seas expected.

– South Coast: Morning winds will blow northwest to northeast at Beaufort scale 3, keeping the sea smooth to slight. Afternoon winds will change to southeast to southwest, occasionally reaching southwest at Beaufort scale 4, causing smooth to slight sea conditions, with some localized slight roughness. At night, northwest winds at Beaufort scale 3 will prevail, maintaining a smooth to slight sea state.

– East Coast: Winds in the morning will be northwest to northeast at Beaufort scale 3, resulting in smooth to slight seas. In the afternoon, southeast to southwest winds will be observed, occasionally reaching Beaufort scale 3 to 4, leading to smooth to slight sea conditions, with some areas experiencing local slight roughness. By night, winds will shift to west to northwest at Beaufort scale 3, keeping the sea smooth to slight.

– North Coast: Morning winds will be northwest to northeast at Beaufort scale 3, ensuring smooth to slight sea conditions. Afternoon winds will remain northwest, occasionally reaching Beaufort scale 3 to 4, maintaining smooth to slight seas, with some areas experiencing localized slight roughness. At night, winds will change to southeast to southwest at Beaufort scale 3, sustaining a smooth to slight sea state.
