Nicosia: The travel advisory issued by the Cyprus Foreign Ministry in 2024 regarding travel to Iran remains firmly in place. The advisory, initially released on August 5, 2024, continues to caution Cypriot citizens against all travel to Iran due to the prevailing regional situation and recent developments.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Cypriot nationals currently in Iran are urged to stay alert, closely follow updates from both international and local media, and adopt stringent security measures. Additionally, Cypriots are encouraged to register on the Connect2CY platform, which is designed for Cypriots abroad to ensure their safety and keep them informed.
In emergencies, Cypriot citizens are advised to reach out to the Embassy of Cyprus in Tehran, located at No. 9, Mahmoud Razi St., Reza Ali Hosseini St., Zaferanieh, Tehran. They can also contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Consular Affairs Directorate or the Crisis Management Directorate during and outside working hours for assistance.
