Cyprus Hosts Prestigious EUROMED DAYS Investment Forum

Nicosia: Cyprus recently served as the host for EUROMED DAYS, a prominent regional investment forum organized by Invest Cyprus and ANIMA Investment Network. The event, held from June 15 to 17, 2026, gathered influential leaders from the public and private sectors, international organizations, and investment bodies from across Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, and beyond.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the forum commenced on June 15 in Nicosia, marking the beginning of three days dedicated to strategic dialogue and investment cooperation. The event was jointly hosted by Invest Cyprus and ANIMA Investment Network, with collaborative efforts from WAIPA and WAPPP and supported by the Euromed Clusters Forward project.

The conference was inaugurated with opening remarks from Marios Tannousis, CEO of Invest Cyprus, who emphasized the significance of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in fostering business and investment opportunities. Welcome addresses were delivered by Evgenios Evgeniou, Chairman of Invest Cyprus, and Tarak Ch©rif, President of ANIMA Investment Network. They underscored Cyprus' strategic position as a gateway for regional investment and cooperation.

The forum featured distinguished speakers such as Irene Piki, Deputy Minister to the President, and Dr. Nicodemos Damianou, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, who contributed to discussions on economic partnerships and digital transitions. Evgenios Evgeniou highlighted the forum's role in positioning Cyprus as a key player in strengthening economic diplomacy and regional cooperation.

A highlight of the first day was the Mediterranean Leaders Awards ceremony, celebrating leaders who have significantly contributed to fostering dialogue and partnership in the Mediterranean region. This year's honorees included Ziad-Alexandre Hayek, Evgenios Evgeniou, and Tarek Tawfik, recognized for their impactful contributions to regional collaboration.
