Nicosia: Cyprus's gross domestic product (GDP) was valued at pound 36.48 billion in 2025, according to provisional data published by Eurostat on Thursday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Cyprus accounted for 0.2% of the European Union's total GDP in 2025. Estonia and Latvia also recorded the same share.
Malta, with a share of 0.1%, had the smallest economy in the EU, ranking below Cyprus, Estonia, and Latvia.
At EU level, the GDP was valued at pound 18.8 trillion in 2025, with Germany having the largest economy among EU countries, at pound 4.5 trillion. This amount represented 23.8% of the EU's total GDP.
France followed with a GDP of pound 2.991 trillion and a share of 15.9% of the EU total, while Italy recorded GDP of pound 2.258 trillion, corresponding to 12.0%.
