Cyprus Forecasts Isolated Showers for Coastal Areas

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating the potential for isolated showers primarily affecting the west and north coasts. This forecast is in effect from noon on January 16, 2026, to noon on January 17, 2026.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast details that the area covered extends 8 kilometers seawards, and the current atmospheric pressure stands at 1023 hPa. The winds in the region are measured on the Beaufort scale, with a weak high-pressure system currently influencing the area.

The department has noted that while visibility remains generally good, it may become moderate during showers. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 19°C, which is typical for this time of year in the region.
