Cyprus Experiencing Weak High Pressure with Partly Cloudy Skies

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating that weak high pressure is affecting the region. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy at times, with atmospheric pressure recorded at 1022 hPa.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the sea surface temperature is at 19°C, and visibility is reported to be good. There are no warnings issued for the forecast period, which spans from 0600 on January 21, 2025, until 0600 on January 22, 2025.

For the west coast, morning winds from the southeast are expected at a Beaufort scale of 3 to 4, locally varying to a smooth to slight state of the sea. During the afternoon, winds remain at the same scale from the southeast, leading to slight sea conditions. By night, the winds will shift from northeast to southeast, gradually reaching a scale of 4, with the sea state remaining slight.

On the south coast, morning winds will range from northwest to northeast at a Beaufort scale of 3, later shifting northeast to eas
t, creating smooth to slight sea conditions. In the afternoon, winds will vary from northeast to southeast at 3 to 4, with the sea state locally slight. By night, winds will settle from north to northeast at 3 to 4, maintaining a smooth to slight sea state.

The east coast will experience morning winds from northwest to northeast at a scale of 3, locally increasing to 3 to 4, resulting in smooth to slight sea conditions. In the afternoon, winds will shift from northeast to southeast at 3 to 4, locally reaching 4, keeping the sea slight. At night, northeast winds will maintain a scale of 3 to 4, locally reaching 4, with slight sea conditions.

For the north coast, morning winds will begin from the southeast to south at a scale of 3, later shifting northeast to southeast, creating smooth to slight sea conditions. By afternoon, winds will adjust from northeast to southeast at a scale of 3 to 4, leaving offshore areas slight. In the evening, winds will settle east to southeast at 3 to 4, locally reaching 4, maint
