Nicosia: Cyprus is witnessing a diverse range of temperatures today, with various regions experiencing both mild and freezing conditions.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Department of Meteorology has reported that the highest temperatures today were recorded at both Larnaka Airport and Limassol (New Port), reaching 15°C. The lowest temperatures were observed in Prodromos, where the mercury dropped to -2°C, indicating freezing conditions. Humidity levels varied across different stations, with Prodromos experiencing 100% humidity, contrasting with the 60% humidity recorded in Nicosia (Athalassa).
The report details that Nicosia (Athalassa) recorded a high of 12°C and a low of 5°C, Larnaka Airport and Limassol (New Port) both recorded a high of 15°C and a low of 8°C. Meanwhile, Limassol Garden recorded a slightly lower high of 13.6°C and a low of 6.8°C. Pafos Airport reported a high of 14°C and a low of 9°C, while Frenaros experienced a high of 14°C and a low of 7°C. Polis Pafos recorded a high of 13°C and a low of 8°C. The humidity levels at 1200 UTC ranged from 56% in Polis Pafos to 100% in Prodromos.
These temperature variations across Cyprus highlight the diverse climate that the island experiences during this period, with certain areas like Prodromos facing particularly cold conditions.
