Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that weak low pressure is currently affecting the region. While the weather is expected to remain mostly fine, there will be periods of increased low cloud coverage, mist, and fog patches, particularly during overnight and early morning hours, which may affect visibility.

The forecast covers an 8-kilometer seawards area and notes that the winds are measured on the Beaufort scale. Despite the presence of mist and fog, overall visibility is good but can reduce to moderate or poor under these conditions, and very poor in foggy patches. No warnings have been issued in relation to the current weather conditions.
The sea surface temperature remains steady at 24°C. The forecast outlines specific wind and sea conditions for various coastal areas. On the West Coast, winds will vary from southwest to northwest, with the sea state ranging from slight to smooth. Similarly, the South Coast will experience southwest to west winds, with the sea state also ranging from slight to smooth. The East and North Coasts are expected to have comparable conditions, with winds predominantly from the southwest and a sea state ranging from smooth to slight.
