Cyprus Experiences Smooth Sea Conditions Amid Seasonal Low Pressure

Nicosia: Cyprus is set to experience predominantly fine weather across its sea areas despite the influence of a seasonal low-pressure system. The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast covering the period from midday June 29 to midday June 30, 2026, detailing the anticipated conditions over an 8-kilometer range seawards.

According to Cyprus News Agency, atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1009 hPa. Although the forecast indicates mainly clear skies, there is a possibility of increased low cloud coverage later tonight and during the early morning hours. Visibility is expected to remain good throughout the period, with sea surface temperatures steady at 25°C. Importantly, no weather warnings have been issued for the area.

The forecast specifies that winds throughout the sea areas will range between 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, with smooth to slight sea conditions expected. On the West Coast, winds will transition from west to northwest during the afternoon and shift to northwest to northeast by night. The South Coast will experience winds from southwest to west, transitioning overnight towards the northwest to northeast. The East Coast and North Coast will similarly experience slight wind shifts, maintaining smooth to slight sea conditions throughout the forecast period.
