Cyprus EU Presidency to Host High-Level Conference on Mental Health and Inclusion

Nicosia: A high-level conference on mental health and inclusion will take place on Tuesday, in the framework of the Cyprus EU Presidency, at Filoxenia Conference Center in Nicosia. A press release issued by the Secretariat of the Cyprus Presidency indicates that Cyprus Health Minister Neophytos Charalambides will welcome distinguished guests, including the Regional Director for Europe of the World Health Organization, Dr. Hans Henri Kluge.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Health Minister and the WHO official will make introductory statements, which will be followed by a video message from European Commissioner for Health and Animal Welfare, Oliver Varhelyi. The conference will also feature presentations on mental health, inclusivity, and rights by representatives from relevant bodies and European and international institutions and organizations.

The conference will conclude with a press conference by the Minister of Health, providing an opportunity to discuss the outcomes and insights shared during the event.
