Cyprus Department of Meteorology Releases Sea Area Forecast

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its latest forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus. The forecast covers the period from 1800 on July 7, 2025, until 1800 on July 8, 2025, and applies to an area extending 8 kilometers seawards.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the region is currently experiencing seasonal low atmospheric pressure, recorded at 1004 hPa at the time of the forecast’s issuance. Despite the low pressure, the weather conditions are expected to remain mainly fine throughout the forecast period. Visibility is reported to be good, and the sea surface temperature is recorded at 26°C.

The forecast indicates no warnings for the specified period, suggesting stable maritime conditions for the area. Winds will be measured on the Beaufort scale, though specific wind speeds were not detailed in the report. Overall, the forecast suggests favorable conditions for maritime activities in the Cyprus sea area during this period.
