Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, predicting mainly fine weather with some local variations. Seasonal low pressure is affecting the area, leading to the presence of increased low cloud overnight and during the morning, particularly in coastal regions. Additionally, local mist and fog patches are expected to form over eastern areas around dawn.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and indicates atmospheric pressure at the time of issuance at 1008hPa. Visibility is generally expected to be good; however, it will reduce to moderate or poor in mist and very poor in fog. Despite these conditions, no warnings have been issued for the period.

The forecast details the wind patterns and sea conditions for different coastal regions. On the west coast, winds will vary from southwest to northwest with a Beaufort scale rating of 3 to 4, creating a smooth to slight sea state. The south coast will experience similar conditions, though locally the winds may reach a Beaufort scale of 4 to 5. The east and north coasts will also see winds ranging from 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, maintaining a smooth to slight state of the sea. Sea surface temperatures remain warm at 29°C, which is typical for this time of year.
