Cyprus Coastal Weather Forecast Predicts Mainly Fine Conditions

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus for the period from 1200 on December 17, 2025, until 1200 on December 18, 2025. The forecast indicates that weak high pressure is currently affecting the region, resulting in mainly fine weather conditions across the area.

According to Cyprus News Agency, visibility is expected to remain good throughout the period, with sea surface temperatures stable at 21°C. There are no warnings issued for this time frame. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast release was measured at 1021 hPa (hectopascal), suggesting stable weather patterns.

For the West Coast, winds are expected to vary between northeast to east at Beaufort scale 3 in the afternoon, shifting to northwest to northeast at night, with conditions remaining slight. By morning, winds will be northwest, ranging from 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, with the sea state continuing to be slight.

On the South Coast, afternoon winds will be north to northeast at 4, occasionally reaching 4 to 5, resulting in slight to moderate sea conditions. At night, winds will shift to northwest at 3 to 4, with slight sea conditions. These conditions are expected to persist into the morning.

For the East Coast, the forecast predicts afternoon winds from north to northeast at 4 to 5, with occasional local conditions reaching moderate levels. Nighttime winds will be northwest to north at 3 to 4, with conditions remaining slight. By morning, winds will shift to west to northwest at 3 to 4, maintaining slight sea states.

The North Coast will experience northeast to east winds at 4 in the afternoon, reaching 4 to 5 at times, with slight to moderate sea conditions. Nighttime conditions will feature northwest to northeast winds at 3, occasionally reaching 4, with slight sea conditions. In the morning, winds will be west to northwest at 3 to 4, with the sea state remaining slight.
