Cyprus Coastal Weather Forecast Indicates Smooth Sailing Conditions

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, predicting mainly fine weather conditions over the next 24 hours. The forecast, which covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, indicates weak low pressure with an atmospheric pressure measured at 1013 hPa at the time of issuance.

According to Cyprus News Agency, winds across different coasts of Cyprus are expected to range between 3 and 4 on the Beaufort scale, suggesting relatively calm conditions. The visibility is anticipated to remain good, and the sea surface temperature is recorded at 25°C. Importantly, no warnings have been issued for the forecast period.

The west coast will experience northwest to northeast winds during the night, transitioning from smooth to slight sea conditions. By morning, winds will shift towards the northeast to southeast, maintaining smooth to slightly rough seas. In the afternoon, a southeast to southwest wind pattern is expected to prevail.

On the south coast, night winds will vary from west to northwest, shifting to a variable pattern, while maintaining smooth to slight sea states. The morning will see northwest to northeast winds, changing to northeast to east, with similar sea conditions. In the afternoon, winds will adjust to a southeast to southwest direction, continuing the smooth to slight pattern.

The east coast will face west to northwest winds at night, with smooth to slight seas. By morning, the wind direction will switch from northwest to northeast, later becoming northeast to east. Afternoon winds will transition to northeast to southeast, with the sea remaining smooth to slightly rough.

The north coast will experience southeast to southwest winds at night, initially shifting from southwest to west, with smooth to slight seas. Morning winds will come from the north to northeast, maintaining the sea state, and by afternoon, the wind direction will settle from the north, with smooth to slight sea conditions.
