Cyprus Braces for Cloudy Skies and Isolated Showers According to Meteorological Forecast

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast covering the sea area of Cyprus, detailing weather conditions expected from 0600 on February 12, 2026, to 0600 on February 13, 2026. The forecast indicates that a weak low-pressure system is influencing the region, resulting in locally mainly cloudy weather with the possibility of isolated showers or thunderstorms. Dust in suspension is also anticipated, affecting visibility. According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and utilizes the Beaufort scale to describe wind conditions. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1011 hPa. Despite the anticipated showers, visibility is expected to remain good, although it may become moderate to poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is reported to be 18°C, and no warnings have been issued. The forecast provides a detailed breakdown of expected wind conditions and the state of the sea across various coastal regions of Cyprus. On the West Coast, winds are expected to be from the south to southwest, ranging from 4 to 5 Beaufort, occasionally increasing to 5 to 6 locally. The sea is anticipated to be slight to moderate. Similar conditions are anticipated on the South Coast, with afternoon winds potentially reaching force 6 and resulting in moderate sea conditions. The East and North Coasts will experience winds from the south to southwest, with the state of the sea ranging from slight to moderate.
