Nicosia: The strengthening of bilateral relations between Cyprus and Kazakhstan, as well as broader regional and international developments, were at the centre of a meeting held in Nicosia on Monday between Cyprus' Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos and Kazakhstan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Bakayev.
According to Cyprus News Agency, discussions focused in particular on Cyprus-Kazakhstan relations and prospects for further deepening engagement, especially in view of the upcoming visit of President Nikos Christodoulides to Kazakhstan. The meeting also addressed Cyprus' Presidency of the Council of the European Union and EU-Kazakhstan relations more broadly. Current geopolitical developments were also on the agenda.
Foreign Minister Kombos emphasized the importance of dialogue, stability, and mutual beneficial cooperation in a post shared on X, highlighting the positive outcomes of the meeting. The conversation underscored the commitment of both nations to enhance their collaboration in various sectors.
