Nicosia:Cyprus' Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos emphasized the importance of continued diplomatic dialogue to foster peace and stability in the region following a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Kombos shared on X that the conversation focused on current regional developments and stressed the need for de-escalation and restraint.

Additionally, Kombos met with Nguyen Phuong Anh, the new Ambassador of Viet Nam to Cyprus. He mentioned on X that the meeting reaffirmed the positive trajectory of the bilateral relationship and both nations' commitment to enhancing trade, investment, and cooperation under the EU-Viet Nam partnership.

Meanwhile, Cyprus' Foreign Ministry expressed its approval on X regarding the European Commission's Progress Report on Trkiye, part of this year's Enlargement Package.
