Cyprus: Cyprus Men's gymnastics team achieved fifth place at the 23rd Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The Cypriot gymnasts earned eight qualifications in the finals. Decorated athlete Marios Georgiou is a favorite to secure a medal following his qualification in the individual all-around final and in three individual events. According to Cyprus News Agency, Marios Georgiou collected 80,950 points and qualified in second place in the individual all-around final, set for Sunday. George Agkonas also qualified for the final. Furthermore, Georgiou secured three more qualifications in the apparatus finals. Sokratis Pilakouris qualified in the Hoops, while Neophytos Kyriakou and Kyriakos Markidis advanced to the finals in the Vault.
