Nicosia: Cypriot World Archery Para Champion and the world's top-ranked para archer, Christos Misos, completed his campaign at the Ahmedabad 2026 Hyundai World Archery Para Series in triumphant fashion, winning the gold medal in the visually impaired (VI1) category.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Misos had to overcome a strong field of top Indian archers, including Yugal Garg, Pawan Kumar, and Tanvi Ingale, on their home ground.
In the ranking round, Misos finished first with 451 points. Despite extreme weather conditions, including intense heat, high humidity, and shifting winds, he withstood the pressure of the knockout stages to reach the top step of the podium.
