Cyprus: Cyprus Meteorological Service issued a yellow warning for rain and thunderstorms valid from Sunday evening until Monday evening.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the warning indicates that from Sunday at 2100 local time until Monday 2100 local time, a combination of rain and isolated thunderstorms, mainly over coastal areas, are expected to affect the island at times.
In the areas experiencing thunderstorms, hail is expected, while snowfall is also anticipated over the high mountain regions, which locally at times is likely to be heavy. The precipitation rate is expected to range between 35 and 55 millimeters per hour, with total precipitation likely to locally exceed 55 millimeters over 24 hours, mainly over the coastal and mountainous areas.
