Nicosia: The Construction Materials Price Index experienced a 1.54% increase year-on-year in December 2025, relative to the same month in 2024, as per the latest data released by the Statistical Service on Monday. On a month-to-month comparison, the index reached 118.74 points, using 2021 as the base year, which marks a slight increase of 0.10% compared to November 2025.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the main product categories showed varied trends. Notably, there were increases in the prices of minerals, which rose by 3.38%, mineral products by 2.62%, and electromechanical items by 2.23%. Additionally, the prices for wood products, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics saw a rise of 1.33%. Conversely, metal products experienced a decline in prices, dropping by 0.54%.
