Nicosia: The Price Index of Construction Materials for April 2026 reached 120.67 units, marking a 1.38% increase compared to the same month in the previous year, as detailed by the Statistical Service's data published on Monday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the rise in the index was primarily driven by increases across various commodity categories. Electromechanical products saw the most significant rise at 2.29%, followed by metallic products which increased by 1.81%. Additionally, products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics rose by 1.76%, while minerals and mineral products went up by 1.59% and 0.06%, respectively.
The data also highlighted a month-on-month increase of 0.64% in the Index. For the period from January to April 2026, the index reflected a 1% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
