Nicosia: The Price Index of Construction Materials in August 2025 experienced a year-over-year increase of 1.17%, reaching 119.06 units, based on 2021 as the base year of 100 units.
According to Cyprus News Agency, this data was published by the Statistical Service on Thursday. The index also showed a negligible month-over-month increase of 0.01% when compared to July 2025.
The breakdown by main commodity category revealed that mineral products saw an increase of 3.24%, while minerals rose by 3.20%. Additionally, products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics recorded a rise of 0.73%. On the other hand, metallic products experienced a decrease of 0.92%, and electromechanical products saw a slight decline of 0.07%.
For the cumulative period from January to August 2025, the index recorded an overall increase of 1.23% compared to the same period in 2024.
