Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, expecting mainly cloudy conditions with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. However, weather improvements are anticipated shortly after this period.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, with winds measured on the Beaufort scale. The atmospheric pressure at the time of issuance was recorded at 1015 hPa. Visibility in the area is expected to range from good to moderate, becoming poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is noted to be 18°C, with no warnings issued for this period.
For the West Coast, winds will shift from northwest in the afternoon to northeast to southeast at night and southeast by morning, with sea conditions varying from slight to moderate. The South Coast will experience winds ranging from north to northeast with similar sea states, while the East Coast will see northeast winds that may locally reach moderate levels. On the North Coast, the winds are predicted to move from northeast to east, then shift to southeast by morning, maintaining slight to moderate sea conditions.
