CAP Strategic Plan Provides New Opportunities for Cypriot Wine Exports, Ministry Announces

Nicosia: The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment has announced that it provides new opportunities to enhance the presence and exports of Cypriot wines in markets outside the European Union, through the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023-2027.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Ministry stated in a press release that this action, implemented by the Department of Agriculture in collaboration with the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organization (CAPO), aims to improve the competitiveness of the Cypriot wine sector and open new international markets for it.

The Ministry of Agriculture highlighted that the total available amount for this intervention reaches £300,000, with European participation covering up to 50% of eligible costs.

The action is set to be implemented from 2025 to 2027, with the possibility of extension in selected cases. Interested parties are invited by the Ministry to submit applications for participation by December 31, 2025, in accordance with the instructions of the Implementation Manual available on the CAPO website (www.capo.gov.cy).
