Jakarta:The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, covering a distance of 8 kilometers seawards. The forecast period extends from 1800 on October 9, 2026, until 1800 on October 10, 2026.

According to Cyprus News Agency, weak high-pressure conditions are affecting the area, resulting in mainly fine weather, though there will be periods of locally increased cloud coverage. Visibility is expected to remain good, with the sea surface temperature at 26°C.

No warnings have been issued for the region. The wind conditions vary slightly across different coasts. On the west coast, winds will shift from northwest to north at night, becoming southwest to northwest by morning, and west to northwest by the afternoon, with the sea state ranging from smooth to slight. The south coast will experience northwest to north winds at night, gradually turning southwest to west by morning and afternoon, with similar sea conditions.

For the east coast, winds will be northwest at night, shifting to north to northeast in the morning and continuing through the afternoon, with the sea remaining smooth to slight. The north coast will see northwest to northeast winds at night, with a shift to southeast to southwest near the coast, and north by the afternoon, with the sea state consistently smooth to slight.
