Protaras: The Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia has installed boat-shaped book-sharing libraries on the two main beaches of Protaras.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the initiative further enhances the area's distinctive character as a destination that combines hospitality, culture, and high-quality visitor experiences.
The libraries have been strategically placed at Vryssi Beach and Fig Tree Bay, providing both residents and visitors the opportunity to borrow a book while enjoying their time on the beach. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to leave behind books they no longer need, allowing others to enjoy them and fostering a sense of community and sharing.
The libraries prominently feature the logo of the new 'Protaras Riviera' tourism brand. This branding initiative aims to link the pleasures of reading and the sea with the broader destination marketing strategy of the Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia. The innovative approach is part of the municipality's efforts to enhance the cultural and experiential appeal of the Protaras area.
Since their installation, these unique libraries have quickly become a point of interest for visitors. Many are photographing the boat-shaped structures and sharing the images on social media platforms, thereby promoting the Protaras Riviera philosophy. This philosophy emphasizes the transformation of every moment into a memorable experience, further contributing to the area's allure as a must-visit destination.
