Bank of Cyprus Named “Most Honored Company” in Extel’s Annual Ranking

Nicosia: The Bank of Cyprus announced on Friday that it has received a prestigious and highly significant distinction, being named a 'Most Honored Company' in Extel's internationally renowned annual survey.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Bank secured third place in the Emerging EMEA Financials category, covering the emerging markets of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, reaffirming its strong performance and the confidence it inspires in international markets.

'This significant recognition of Bank of Cyprus and its executives carries particular weight, as it stems directly from the votes of the market leaders themselves,' it is noted.

It is added that beyond the Group's overall recognition, the Bank's Management Team also achieved outstanding results in individual categories, standing out among top executives from other financial institutions.

Specifically, Executive Director of Finance, Eliza Leivadiotou, was named Best CFO, securing first place among independent buy-side analysts and second place in the sell-side rankings, while the efforts of the Investor Relations team were equally recognised, with Manager, Strategy, Investor Relations and ESG, Annita Pavlou, and the Bank of Cyprus Investor Relations Team both achieving second place in their respective categories (Best IR Professional and Best IR Team).

According to the Bank of Cyprus, the result was determined following a rigorous evaluation by 454 leading portfolio managers, international analysts, and specialized researchers, representing 247 leading financial institutions worldwide.

'This broad participation from the international investment community lends unique credibility to the distinction, confirming the high level of trust that foreign institutional investors place in the Bank,' the press release concluded.
