Average Earnings Rise by 4.2% in Q2 2025, Reaching £2,476

Nicosia: Average gross monthly earnings of employees witnessed a notable increase during the second quarter of 2025, reaching £2,476, a 4.2% rise compared to £2,375 in the same period of 2024, based on provisional data released by the Statistical Service on Wednesday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the second quarter of 2025 also saw a 0.9% increase in seasonally adjusted average gross monthly earnings compared to the first quarter of the same year. The earnings for male employees averaged £2,656, while female employees earned an average of £2,251. This represents a year-on-year increase of 3.8% for male employees and 4.7% for female employees.

The data from the Statistical Service further reveals that 36.1% of employees earn below £1,500 monthly. Meanwhile, 40% of employees have earnings ranging from £1,501 to £2,999. Additionally, 12.8% of employees earn between £3,000 and £4,499, 6% earn between £4,500 and £5,999, and 5.1% of employees have earnings exceeding £6,000.
