According to Cyprus News Agency, Aris is set to face the league leader, Pafos FC, next Sunday at Stelios Kyriakides stadium for the 8th matchday of the second phase. This victory places Aris in a promising position in the standings, where Pafos FC currently leads with 75 points, followed by Aris with 71, AEK with 62, Omonia with 61, APOEL with 52, and Apollon with 46.
The weekend’s matches also saw Omonia defeating Pafos FC 3-0, and a goalless draw between Apollon and APOEL on Saturday. As the competition intensifies, three games are scheduled for Monday in Group B of the second phase of the championship.
