Nicosia: Aris and EN Ypsonas achieved significant victories in Monday’s matches, concluding Matchday 3 of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan. Aris secured its third consecutive win, maintaining a spotless record to lead the standings.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Aris triumphed over Olympiakos with a 2-0 victory at the Alphamega Stadium. Meanwhile, EN Ypsonas also celebrated a 2-0 win against Omonia Aradippou at the “Ammochostos – Epistrofi” Stadium.
The weekend’s fixtures also saw APOEL achieving a 2-0 away win against Enosis Neon Paralimni, while AEL and Ethnikos Achnas ended in a 2-2 draw at the Alphamega Stadium.
The results for Matchday 3 were as follows: Omonia defeated Akritas Chlorakas 3-0, Pafos FC lost to Apollon 0-1, Anorthosis and AEK drew 1-1, AEL and Ethnikos Achnas drew 2-2, EN Paralimni was defeated by APOEL 0-2, Aris won against Olympiakos 2-0, and EN Ypsonas overcame Omonia Aradippou 2-0.
In the current league standings, Aris is on top with 9 points, followed by APOEL with 6 points. Ethnikos Achnas holds 5 points, with AEK, Akritas, and AEL each having 4 points. EN Ypsonas also has 6 points, while Apollon, Omonia, Olympiakos, and Paphos each have 3 points.
